Penang Hills and Trails - Sungai Ara Blue House Loop 2022 |

Please visit my Penang buses page for information on accessing the starting point. We visited the site of the Blue House in November 2023. Sadly, it is no more, there are a few bits piled up and a bare concrete base. (19th November 2023) It's November 2022 and we have not been to the 'Blue House' above Sungai Ara for 3 years, so a revisit to check the status of the two main paths to it sounded like a good idea. Our route is shown in the map at the bottom and while I have not compiled the usual report you should know that we parked near the Indian temple in Jalan Kenari and went round in an anticlockwise direction. The route was excellent throughout save that the section west of the Blue House was merely good and easy to miss going anticlockwise where it enters overgrown rubber and most of the traffic turns left and enters a durian orchard - just go straight ahead. If you go clockwise, please consult the picture below.
